Tool Makers (m/f/d)

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    We are seeking to recruit Tool Makers to form part of our Matotech Tool Shop to perform the following duties:

    • Be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings
    • Designing using Creo Parametric
    • Be able to design small jigs and gauges
    • Having good knowledge of conventional milling machines, lathes, surface grinding and OD grinding
    • Be knowledgeable on standard machine shop practices, Injection Moulds and Press Tools
    • Having proven experience in mould making, repair and maintenance of Injection Moulds and Press Tools
    • Good knowledge of programming and operation of 3-axis milling machines, and other tool shop equipment and /or Programming knowledge of OneCNC program or similar
    • Troubleshooting problems on CNC milling machine
    • Routine and preventive maintenance on machines
    • Compliance with the Quality Management System and Environmental

    REQUIREMENTS

    The ideal candidates would be:

    • Trustworthy, honest, and ethical who can work unsupervised and on his own initiative.
    • An excellent communicator with strong negotiating skills.
    • Highly knowledgeable of the industry and our products.
    • Willing and able to learn the operation of new machinery.
    • Willing to share his/her knowledge and experience with colleagues.
    • Previous experience will be considered as an asset, including mould making, repair and maintenance of Moulds and Press Tools, operating Spark Erosion or Wire Erosion machines.

    Qualifications needed:

    • Recognised Qualification in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering at MQF Level 4, or minimum of 4 years’ experience on CNC milling machines in a tool shop.
    • Good knowledge of English Language (both spoken and written).
    • Good working knowledge of MS applications including Word and Excel.
