At SEIFERT SYSTEMS, the production processes with the greatest potential for sustainable improvements were identified. The aim is to completely digitalise internal process flows and to work paperless as far as possible. In addition, the consumption of plastic and wood is replaced by cardboard whenever possible.
In everything we plan and do, we always focus on sustainable development. In line with this philosophy, a few years ago we made a major investment in the installation of nearly 3,000 PV panels, which generate an approximate 1.1 GWh of electricity annually. Our future goal is to make ourselves energy self-sufficient.
In general, we are investing extensively in modern and more efficient machinery that will help us to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions. In order to pursue the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, SEIFERT SYSTEMS voluntarily undertakes to transparently record its own CO₂ emissions as a verified "Focus Future". For the year 2020, 908 tons of CO₂ were recorded.
SEIFERT SYSTEMS is prepared to compensate for the emitted emissions in the future by investing in climate protection projects. The goal is for all SEIFERT GROUP plants to achieve climate neutrality through appropriate measures. Data collection for the preparation of the CO₂ balance for the year 2021 is already underway. These are not our first steps on the way to become an environmentally oriented organisation, but with this project we are focusing more on the sustainability of all our actions. This will help to make our own future and that of our children worth living.
