Laying of the foundation stone for expansion of production at Seifert Systems GmbH in Radevormwald

Construction of the new production hall has begun

It was less than two years ago when the new administrative building and a modern production hall were occupied in order to expand the capacities of Seifert Systems GmbH in Radevormwald.

Now, only two years later, the demand for products of the SEIFERT GROUP has increased to the extend that the capacity limit has already been reached. Thus, the further expansion of the site is started well ahead of the original planning.

Due to the Corona pandemic, the construction project has been delayed somewhat; the groundbreaking ceremony for the multi-million project will now take place on August 24, 2021. The additional production hall will create further storage capacity to further increase the availability of our products; furthermore, additional production lines for chiller and heat exchangers "made in Radevormwald" will be created.

Remain family business

The owner Michael Seifert and his wife Wibke traveled to Radevormwald for this important event. "That our German location is developing so well in such a short time is of course very pleasing to us and shows that products from SEIFERT are very well received by the market. The strategy to consolidate our roots here is an important step for the SEIFERT GROUP!"

"We are very happy that the construction is now starting. Our planning has predicted a significant growth in the coming years. However, the fact that we need to expand capacity so quickly due to the high demand is largely due to the very high commitment and great spirit of the team," said Lars Platzhoff, CEO at SEIFERT SYSTEMS.

Presence also by the city of Radevormwald

In addition to the press, high-ranking representatives of the city of Radevormwald also attended the event:

Simon Woywod (First Deputy Mayor) and Burkhard Klein (Head of the Building Administration Office). Both accompanied the project and are also pleased about the expansion of the site with the prospect of being able to locate further high-quality jobs in Radevormwald. For the further expansion of the site, the city has made additional land available right next to the current site.

Architect Alfred Stutthoff emphasized that the new building should be completed and ready for occupancy in the summer of 2022.

More space for the employees

Production manager Kai Kroll as well as the employees of SEIFERT SYSTEMS GmbH are happy about the additional space in production and offices. "The colleagues have been doing their best under full load for the last few months and have performed a tightrope act at certain points in order to maintain shipping and production despite a shortage of space," says Lars Strempel, Head of Marketing.
